Government report shows alarming fast food consumption among kids

A report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows kids average about 245 calories worth of fast food every day.

Dr. William McCarthy, FSPH professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management, spoke with KABC - Channel 7 about the metabolic risks adolescents face if they become too reliant on fast food.

Fast food fuels obesity and a report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows kids average about 245 calories worth of fast food every day. To combat obesity, Dr. McCarthy suggests that families eat fast food no more than once a month.
