Congratulations to Lauren Gase, the Finalist of Health Policy and Management for 2014 Student Writing Competition

Headed by Fielding School of Public Health, many students submitted their work to compete in the 2014 Student Writing Competition. Lauren Gase, a PhD Student in our department was selected as the finalist, for which she received a $1000 prize from Molina Healthcare. 

Her essay "Promoting Health in the 21st Century: Transforming the Fielding School of Public Health to Address the Multiple Determinants of Health," describes the need for a systems-based strategy that considers the multiple, interconnected forces that shape health and health behavior.
