HPM Student Selected as the Grand Prize Winner for the 2017 Breslow Student Writing Competition

This year's Breslow Student Writing Competition addressed the following questions:

"How would you bring people together across divides to advance health for all? You may address national or global divides."

A winner was selected from each of the five departments and presented their essays at the 43rd Annual Lester Breslow Distinguished Lecture (dedicated to the memory of former FSPH professor, dean and renowned public health leader Dr. Lester Breslow) on June 8, 2017.

HPM student, Veronica Kapoor (MPH '18 candidate) was selected by a panel of distinguished judges as the grand prize winner of $5,000 provided courtesy of the Breslow Student Fellowship Fund. Each of the winners also received $1,000 from Molina Healthcare, which co-sponsored the competition.
